Our teams also fougth for the U160 Herts knockout and lost in the semi final. They also performed well in the cambs 550 competition.

Third match of the season and we have a third result of 3.5: 1.5 in our favour. This time we were helped by the opposition defaulting 2 boards before the start! Brian had a tough job on board 1 and lost. Julian secured a draw and stephen a win.

Checking the tables all of the Royston teams are topping thier respective divisions so a solid start to the season.

Royston entered a team of four and were looking good for winning the cup but lost out in the last round to come joint second with Linton. Cambridge won with 9 point to our 8.

There were seven teams involved from cambridgeshire with a cross table so that the strongest player in a team always played the strongest in another team. Each player played 3 games so the maximum points a team could win was 12.
