Third match of the season and we have a third result of 3.5: 1.5 in our favour. This time we were helped by the opposition defaulting 2 boards before the start! Brian had a tough job on board 1 and lost. Julian secured a draw and stephen a win.

Checking the tables all of the Royston teams are topping thier respective divisions so a solid start to the season.

The opponents turned up one short so a point on the board at the outset. Stephen Pride agreed a draw and then Arek.

Julian's postion looked won but his opponent went away to contemplate. He then resigned next day so that was 3:1 to us. Brian's position is less clear and he has elected to play on. This however gives us a win regardless!
