We are looking for members of all abilities as we have teams in the Herts league, both ends and in the middle! We also field a team in the Herts and district for lower graded players as well. We also participate in the Cams 550 and open competitions so plenty of choice. If you just want to play the odd game that's fine or if you are looking for regular match play we can accommodate you somewhere.

Due to changes by the ECF (English Chess Federation) players who play in league matches need to be registered with the ECF and pay an annual fee. See ECF website for details of levels of membership which replaces board fees for games.

Note: club closed until the 9th September 2019

Re-opens 9th September with matches starting at the end of the month, check notices.
